We are seeking a
Summer Group Aide to support our clinicians in leading small-group summer programs for children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. This is an excellent opportunity for a mature high school student, college student, or recent graduate interested in exploring careers in psychology, counseling, education, social work, or child development.
About the Role
Our summer groups help children strengthen social skills, emotional regulation, confidence, and peer relationships through engaging activities, games, and play-based learning.
As a Summer Group Aide, you'll work alongside licensed clinicians to help create a positive, supportive, and fun environment for participating children. You'll assist with activities, transitions, behavior support, setup and cleanup, and ensuring children feel welcomed and engaged throughout the program.
This is a short-term seasonal position lasting approximately
1–4 weeks, with opportunities to return for future camps and programs based on performance and scheduling needs.
What You'll Do
- Support children during camp activities, games, and social-emotional learning exercises
- Help children navigate peer interactions and group activities
- Assist with transitions between activities and spaces
- Provide encouragement, redirection, and behavioral support under clinician supervision
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment
- Assist with room setup, materials preparation, and cleanup
- Greet children and families warmly at arrival and dismissal
- Work closely with clinicians to support a positive group experience

QualificationsRequired
- Mature high school student, college student, or recent graduate
- Experience working with young children through camps, babysitting, schools, childcare, tutoring, coaching, or similar settings
- Ability to build positive relationships with children ages 5–8
- Successful completion of a background check
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred
- Interest in mental health, psychology, counseling, education, or related fields
- Experience working with children who have social, emotional, behavioral, or developmental differences
- Prior camp, classroom, or group experience
Schedule
- Seasonal position lasting approximately 1–4 weeks
- Monday–Friday
- Available shifts: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
