Julia is an LMSW and Psychotherapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults across various life stages and holds a particular passion for supporting moms and their infants. Her experience includes providing family therapy, play therapy, CBT therapy, and infant-mother attachment-based psychotherapy, offering tailored support that fosters growth, healing, and meaningful connections.
As a trauma-informed therapist, Julia believes mental and emotional well-being are essential to our overall health, and she aims to create a therapeutic environment that is comforting, safe, and supportive.
Julia worked as a Child Development Specialist with the Montefiore Health System and is trained in Group Attachment Based Intervention (GABI), a therapeutic model that works with children 0-6 to help develop a secure attachment bond with their caregiver through group play therapy. She also has training in grief and bereavement support for families and children of all ages who have experienced loss.
Julia earned a Masters in Social Work from NYU and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland.
With this knowledge, parents are able to develop their own personal parenting frameworks so they can respond confidently and effectively to any challenge that comes along, resulting in families that are healthier, calmer, and more connected with one another.
