What is it like working at Upshur Bren Psychology Group?

Bridie Moriarty, PsyD  •  Postdoctoral Fellow

“Right off the bat, I was inspired by the story of this practice - two best friends who co-founded this women-led business together. I felt a strong sense of community right away and, despite my short tenure, I feel like I’ve been here so long because I feel so comfortable. I’ve been able to work with a variety of presentations and build a child and adolescent therapy caseload that has provided me the outpatient experience I was looking for. And my supervision has been fantastic - I have a supervisor who I feel very comfortable with, who I feel cares about me both personally and professionally. In our group supervision, I feel like I can be authentic, let my filter down, and speak genuinely about our work and learn from each other.”

Why Choose Upshur Bren Psychology Group

We are a women/mother-led group, and we pride ourselves in fostering a warm, supportive, team-oriented environment that values collaboration and work-life balance. To that end, we are committed to creating a flexible, family-friendly workplace with many opportunities for growth and creativity. We deeply value our relationships with the families in our community, and we have become a trusted and respected practice in the Pelham area and Southern Westchester.

Our training program is led by licensed psychologists with extensive experience training and supervising pre-licensure clinicians in a variety of settings, from hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient clinics, residential facilities, college counseling programs, and academic medical centers. With specialized training in trauma-informed care, DBT, child-focused interventions, infant and early childhood development, parenting support, couples therapy, family therapy, and maternal mental health, trainees will have the unique opportunity to develop skills in supporting individuals, as well as all members of a family system, through a wide range of presenting issues.
