6-week group for kindergarten through 2nd grade children

Executive Functioning Skills for Young Kids

What you can expect from this group:

Using targeted skill-building activities and games, this group will foster a growth mindset as your child learns strategies for more efficiently managing their time, planning ahead, staying organized, and regulating their emotions in a way that makes daily life smoother, for them and for you!

This fun and interactive 6-week group starting early May is designed to help kindergarten through 2nd graders develop key executive functioning skills that make everyday life smoother. Using targeted skill-building activities, movement, and games, children will strengthen their ability to manage distractions, follow directions, regulate their emotions and behaviors, build collaborative relationships, and complete tasks with greater independence.

In this group, your child will work on:

  • Learning to start and finish activities with confidence
  • Strengthening self-regulation and frustration tolerance through engaging activities
  • Practicing patience, turn-taking, and flexible thinking in social interactions
  • Building routines and organization skills that set them up for success at home and school

By strengthening these foundational skills, kids gain more confidence, independence, and problem-solving abilities, which means less frustration, fewer meltdowns, and a more peaceful daily routine for the whole family. Instead of constant reminders and power struggles, you’ll start to see your child take ownership of their tasks—making life easier and more enjoyable for everyone in the family.
