Marilyn brings a uniquely integrated perspective to therapy after spending two decades as a pediatric critical care physician. She served on the faculty at Columbia University for 20 years and was a founding faculty member of the Program for Women's and Children's Bioethics. Walking alongside children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives shaped her deep compassion, steady presence, and profound respect for the resilience people are capable of, even in the face of uncertainty. She later completed her clinical training in social work, including internships at Saint Vincent's Hospital's Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program and the Larchmont Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center, where she provided individual and group therapy to adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. Today, she brings together her extensive medical background and psychotherapy training to offer thoughtful, holistic care that honors each person's unique experiences and strengths.

Marilyn has experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through concerns including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), childhood trauma, relationship and family conflict, intimate partner violence, and major life transitions. She has a particular passion for working with emerging adults, young people navigating the transition to greater independence, and parents navigating the emotional challenges of caring for a child with complex medical needs.

Marilyn is a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative therapist who is deeply committed to helping people navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, resilience, and self-understanding. She believes therapy is a space where people can feel genuinely heard while also gaining practical tools to move forward. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Marilyn helps patients recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, develop new coping strategies, and build lives that feel more aligned with their values.

We equip parents with the tools to truly understand the building blocks of child development and how secure relationships form and thrive.

With this knowledge, parents are able to develop their own personal parenting frameworks so they can respond confidently and effectively to any challenge that comes along, resulting in families that are healthier, calmer, and more connected with one another.
