One-day intensive for parents of children and adolescents with autism

Parenting your child with autism:

What you can expect from this workshop:

This one-day intensive will help you better understand your child and become more confident in how you parent them. You’ll learn to recognize what your child may need from you, rethink approaches that aren’t working, and respond in ways that make it easier for you and your child to work together.

The goal is not perfect parenting or a home without hard moments. It’s a family where your child feels understood, you feel more equipped to handle the challenges that come up, and everyone’s needs have more room to be met. With the right understanding and strategies in place, everyday life can feel more manageable, connected, and successful for the whole family.

In this intensive you'll gain:

  • A better understanding of your child, so their reactions and needs make more sense and you can respond in ways that actually help.
  • Strategies for navigating everyday challenges, including meltdowns and overwhelm, transitions, sensory needs, social situations, and other moments when your child gets stuck.
  • Tools for creating a smoother day-to-day at home, with approaches that help you work with your child while balancing the needs of the whole family.
  • Ways to advocate for your child, at school and beyond, while helping them begin to understand their own needs and advocate for themselves.
  • More clarity in your parenting, including when your child needs flexibility, when to hold a boundary, and how to respond when things aren’t going as planned.
  • A stronger foundation for the future, helping your child build regulation, independence, self-understanding, and self-advocacy while strengthening your relationship along the way.
