Motherhood comes with an endless list of responsibilities, expectations, and competing demands. For moms with ADHD, managing it all can feel particularly overwhelming. Between keeping track of schedules, managing household responsibilities, navigating parenting challenges, and trying to make time for yourself, it can feel like you're constantly working twice as hard just to keep up.
Our Moms with ADHD Group offers a welcoming, judgment-free space to explore how ADHD shapes your experiences as a mother, better understand your unique strengths and challenges, and connect with other women who truly get it.
Led by our Director of Neurodiversity Services, Dr. Lisa Wajsblat, a psychologist specializing in ADHD and neurodiversity, this group combines guided discussions, personal reflection, practical strategies, and shared experiences to help you navigate motherhood in ways that work with your brain, rather than against it.
Through this group, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Better Understand Your ADHD: Explore how ADHD influences your emotions, relationships, parenting, and daily life while developing greater awareness of your unique strengths and challenges.
- Navigate the Mental Load of Motherhood: Explore practical strategies for managing competing responsibilities, executive functioning challenges, and emotional overwhelm in ways that work for you and your family.
- Build Self-Compassion and Confidence: Learn to move beyond guilt, shame, and self-criticism by approaching yourself and your experiences as a mother with greater understanding, flexibility, and acceptance.
- Connect With Moms Who Understand: Share experiences, reflect on challenges, celebrate successes, and build meaningful connections with other moms navigating similar experiences in a welcoming, clinician-guided environment.
